Review - Harry Connick Jr. - Oh What a Night

Published by mkowalewski at 7:07 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I love Christmas music and I always will. I love everything about Christmas actually (which makes the fact that my first child was born on Christmas Day all that more poignant) but I digress.  And I have to say that I like Harry Connick Jr. also - he’s grown more handsome as time goes on.  So what could be better than a Christmas album by him?!

All in all, this is a throughly enjoyable holiday CD that would do well in anyone’s collection.

This CD showcases the best of Harry.  He sings popular tunes in his swing, jazz style but the CD also contains his own, original material and instrumental pieces. These works showcase his masterful ability as a singer/songwriter and talented pianist at the same time. The CD itself will set a mellow mood for any of your holiday parties.

My favorite tune, hands down, was Winter Wonderland, a duet between Harry and his eleven year old daughter. It was awesome and brought tears to my eyes.  She’s definitely following in her father’s footsteps and is on her way to inhabiting a piece of the music world.

This is a holiday album that is absolutely wonderful and a must purchase for anyone’s music collection.
